CPO production in 2012 estimated that 25 Million Tons

JAKARTA, Indonesia Palm Oil Association (Gapki) estimated production of crude palm oil (Crude Palm Oil / CPO) in 2012 reached 25 million tons.

According to Executive Director Gapki, Fadhil Hasan, in Jakarta, Wednesday (4 / 1) production was up 6.4 percent or 1.5 million tonnes compared to 2011 that as many as 23.5 million tons.
"National oil palm industry will experience growth this year from the expansion of plantation area, production, exports, and price," he said when delivering the Palm Outlook 2012.

According to him, although many issues to be faced by businesses in the oil palm sector, but it will continue to encourage the development and expansion of Indonesian palm oil industry.

Likewise, domestic consumption of palm oil in 2011 also increased from the previous year, into a 6 to 6.2 million tonnes from 5.5 million tons in 2010.

"While at this year's domestic consumption is expected to increase CPO thin which is about six to 6.5 million tonnes," he said.
