Ancient buildings from the Dutch era, the former Tobacco Hospital Deli (RSTD) in Medan, slowly chipped away. Destruction  made among historians in North Sumatra (North Sumatra) disappointed and  plan to report the Minister for SOEs to Komnas HAM.
RSTD building located at Jalan Putri Hijau, Medan, it is part of the assets of PT National Plantation (PTPN) II. Along with the cessation of operations of the hospital from January 1, 2012, the building is left empty. But on Thursday (16/2) evening activity is known to exist at the rear of the building.
This is an unfortunate Perubuhan among historians in North Sumatra. Historian  Ichwan Azhari, who is also the Head of Centre for History and Social  Sciences (Pussis) State University of Medan (Unimed), claimed RSTD is  eligible for a building designated as a cultural heritage that is  protected by Law. 11 in 2010.
"If  the former Hospital building was demolished Deli tobacco, then it adds a  long list of historic buildings that were destroyed in Medan," said  Ichwan Azhari.

The  presence of RSTD Deli Planters adjacent to the building which was  inaugurated by Vereeninging Constantia, wife of Baron McKay, the first  Mayor of Medan. Deli Planters Vereeninging Regional Military Hospital and then to I / Bukit Barisan.
