London - The European Union finally decided to stop an
investigation into allegations antisubsidi biodiesel imports from
Indonesia to the EU market , following the withdrawal of the complaint
by the European Biodiesel Board ( EBB ) .The
EU decision is the result of hard work of the Government of Indonesia
for Indonesian products to protect market access in the EU , according
to the Brussels Embassy in London received by AFP on Wednesday .
It
said an investigation into allegations antisubsidi biodiesel imports
began November last year according to a report filed EBB on 27 September
2012 . EBB represents 25 percent of total European biodiesel production .At
the hearing on August 10 , the European Union has decided not to apply
customs duties while not finding sufficient evidence , but the European
Union will continue their investigation.Indonesian
government represented by the Ministry of Trade and Embassy in Brussels
has been a series of meetings with EU investigators and submit a
written rebuttal to provide information and data held , so that
investigators can view the problem of the European Union as a whole .Finally
, on October 7 EBB withdraw the charge and in accordance with article
14, paragraph one of the EU Basic Regulation , the investigation can be
stopped . In
the outcome document of the investigation Oct. 14 Regulation number
330/2013 which regulates the registration of biodiesel imports from
Indonesia and Argentina declared revoked by the European Union . ( ZG/A026 ).
